About

I have lived in the Washington, DC area since early 1983. I am happily married to Vickie since 1982 and we have two grown children. I went to East Carolina University and studied music, percussion, and was a member of the ECU marching Pirates as the drum line captain for several years. I graduated with honors in 1982. I continue to play and am a member of “The Dog Waggers”, a local band.
In 1983 I moved to the Northern Va area to work for Tom James company. The only salesperson for Tom James company in DC area in 1983, I built the business over the next 24 years to have the highest sales and profits per person in the entire company. Eventually I was promoted to Division President of Tom James Company and I had full P&L responsibility for a $73 million division of Tom James Co. a $162 million men’s/women’s apparel company. As an industry leader, I formulated policies and strategies that impacted revenue and profit growth. I held autonomous decision making authority for marketing, sales, Human Resources, and general operations.
Managing 9 direct and 200 indirect employees that operated in forty-nine offices across thirteen states was a priviledge. I reporting directly to the corporate President and Chairman of the Board. In addition to my Division President duties, I personally built and maintained a one million dollar book of business.
After 24 years in the corporate world I wanted to go in a new direction. I am the “Area Developer” for one of the most talked about franchises in the United States. After looking at several opportunities, one stood out above the others I decided to partner with Missouri based “Too Hotties” - men’s hair cutting salons. I personally will be responsible for the start up of over 150 new locations in the state of Virginia as well as the Washington D.C. Metro Area. Now I will be focusing my talent and energy on building Too Hotties into a successful franchise in the hair salon industry.
